This is Oliver from Smithers. He loves to go fishing with his owners on Babine Lake and his best friend is a rabbit.

I want to introduce you to a little fellow I just recently rescued from certain death. I have named him Tenzin after the Dalai Lama. He is a true Christmas story.

A neighbour of mine, an RCMP Officer went on a call about horses that were being starved on this farm in the Babine Mountain area and when he got there he found 2 dogs curled up so tight in the snow, he took them for dead. They must have been eating their own feces and no one had fed them for at least 2-weeks. He was moved to tears at their condition and brought them home to his farm in Telkwa. He gave me a call because he had heard that I would help in such situations and off I went to see them. I took the worst of the 2, he should be about 60 pounds he is 16 pounds! Just a matted ball of hair and bones. I introduced him to my other two beasts Tashi and Ralf and what I saw was amazing - they showed unbelievable compassion toward the little fellow, licking and licking his face, totally accepting him.

Tashi even brought over one of her bones and dropped it in front of him, mind you is was the one she had licked clean but never the less. Don't ever let anyone tell you animals do not have feelings.

Today is Tenzin's 4th day with us and he has left kibbles in his bowl so the hunger has subsided and he is playing with my 2 like they are long lost friends I brushed his coat and removed most of his mats without any complaints from him.  He just loves to be touched. He is a funny looking sort of guy with one ear up, one down, a bald tail now, bulging eyes from a thin face and he has absolutely no manners but this will change will love and warmth and good food. When he has put on some weight

I will have him neutered and he will learn to go off leash but for now he is on a long rope when we are outside all together. Although I was helping out at first as a foster mom I have the feeling that Tenzin has become part of our family for good.  How can you not fall in love with him?  We can learn so much from animals. He should hate humans for what they did to him but he is just so trusting and forgiving. LL

Hello, my name is B and would like my dog's picture on your site. She is a six month old very beautiful white purebred American pit bull terrier Her name is Loki and everyone has the wrong idea about pitbulls, they are the best pets in the world they wouldn't hurt anyone intentionally or anything unless trained to. I would just like everyone to see how lovable she is.
